LaToya Getz, MS, is the founder of Initiate a New Mediation Services, LLC, where she brings a balanced, compassionate, and solutions-focused approach to every case. As a certified Maryland mediator with specialized training in family mediation, child access, parenting plans, landlord–tenant disputes, and youth conflict, LaToya is committed to helping individuals and families navigate difficult transitions with dignity and clarity.
With years of experience supporting District Court mediation programs in Anne Arundel County—working alongside judges and court professionals—LaToya understands how conflict affects people not only legally, but also emotionally and financially. Her mediation style emphasizes neutrality, fairness, and the belief that every party deserves to feel heard and respected.
LaToya holds a Master of Science in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology, giving her a strong foundation in conflict resolution, human behavior, and restorative practices. She is known for helping clients break through gridlock, identify workable options, and rebuild stability—especially during life-changing events such as separation, co-parenting transitions, and estate or family disputes.
